ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry spokesperson told on Thursday that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan approved the Sindh government’s request to extend Sindh Rangers’ special powers in Karachi for next 90 days.
According to reports, the interior minister approved the request and a notification was issued. According to the notification, Sindh Rangers are once again enabled to exercise their special powers in Karachi.
According to the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997, the rangers got a 90-day extension. The power extension was enforced from January 16, 2017.
Federal Interior Ministry issued the notification.
