KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted on Tuesday a series of heavy rain in different parts of Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan till Sunday.
According to the weather department, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir are likely to receive rain throughout this week.
The MET department forecast rain on July 25, when General Elections are scheduled to be held across the country.
The weather department also released weather forecast for isolated places in DI Khan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Multan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Zhob divisions, and Bannu.
A heavy rainfall is also expected in few areas of Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Islamabad, and Kashmir.
On the other hand, other parts of the country are expected to be humid and hot for this week.
