ISLAMABAD: A survey conducted by Institute of Public Opinion Research (IPOR) released on Wednesday that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has maintained it popularity in Punjab. The Constituency-wise survey was conducted in Punjab that found PTI gaining the popularity in the province.
The survey showed that PML-N has 51 percent vote bank that is 2 percent more than that of 2013 polls.
On the other hand, IPOR survey finds that Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has gained its vote bank from 19 percent in 2013 to 30 percent in 2018.
IPOR conducted survey with the sample size of 200,349 respondents in Punjab in which all National Assembly constituencies were surveyed during April 15 and June 2 this year.
The survey found that PML-N is ahead of PTI with 5:3 ratio of Voter.
The respondents of the survey said that the load-shedding has decreased significantly in previous five years.Therefore, they are satisfied with the performance of PML-N.However, the respondents responded that they have been facing important issues such as lack of clean drinking water, gas and severage problems continuously.
However, the survey findings indicated that the PTI has turned Pakistan Peoples Party vote to PTI in Punjab.
The survey findings show that PML-N has highest vote bank in Central Punjab (55%), Western Punjab (52%), Southern Punjab (49%), ,and Northern Punjab ( 42%).
Meanwhile, the PTI leads in Northern Punjab with 31%,Western Punjab (31%), Central Punjab (30%),and South Punjab (29%).
