LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) women workers on Friday staged a protest outside the party chairman secretariat in Lahore over the allotment of tickets for reserved seats for women.
The protesting workers accused party’s election cell member Aliya Hamza of making changes in the allotment of tickets for the reserved seats.
The female workers demanded that the allotment must be revisited and the decision be made on merit.
The PTI is facing a lot of criticism within the party circles since the announcement of tickets for the general elections 2018. The angry workers from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been staging a sit-in at party leader Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence.
