LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday that lawmakers who left the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) earlier last month are officially joining the PTI.
More than 15 unhappy lawmakers mostly from South Punjab have left the PML-N.
Their leader, Khusro Bakhtiar and many other MNAs, MPAs of the PML-N from Southern Punjab are all set to join the PTI.
It has been reported that a joint press conference will be held soon where they will make the official announcement.
Fawad Chaudhry today confirmed that the leadership of south Punjab will meet PTI chairman Imran Khan tomorrow (Wednesday). A press conference will be held and more details will be given out after the meeting in Islamabad.
Earlier last month, Khusro Bakhtiar along with other disappointed parliamentarians made an announcement of launching a mass movement named as Sooba Mahaaz that aims to create a separate province for people living in Southern Punjab.
