KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM) PIB Colony leader Farooq Sattar and the MQM-P’s Bahadurabad faction leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui declared on Wednesday night to hold a joint public meeting in Liaquatabad, Karachi on the 5th of May.
The two leaders were addressing a joint press conference at MQM Bahaduarabad’s office, where they vowed to hold a gathering at the Tanki Ground in Liaquatabad.
Dr Farooq Sattar challenged Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his PPP during the press conference, and claimed that it was the incumbent provincial government’s apathy towards the Mohajirs that had led to this expression of solidarity from the Mohajir community.
Khalid Siddiqui also addressed the press conference and claimed that the upcoming gathering would be ‘historic’, and would aim to highlight the sentiments of the Mohajir community.
