ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Tuesday held a meeting with senior party leaders to review the allegations of horse trading in the recently held Senate elections.
The meeting was attended by senior PTI leaders including Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Khan Tareen and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
During the meeting, Khattak presented report regarding allegations of horse-trading in the Senate elections. 15 party MPAs are allegedly accused of selling their votes.
The PTI chief had asked Khattak to probe the reported selling of votes during the Senate elections.
The meeting also discussed the performance of the party in the elections.
PTI had bagged five seats from KP and one from Punjab in the elections for the Senate held on march 3.
In a press conference, PTI Spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said that the names of almost 16 MPAs are in grey area.
He said that an action under the criminal law would be taken against those MPAs.
Talking on the matter of selection for the new Senate chairman, the PTI spokesman said consultation with other parties is going on.
