LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday visited former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s Jati Umra residence to hold discussions pertaining several matters.
In a meeting held at former premier’s residence, Nawaz and Shehbaz discussed matters concerning the political situation of the country, the Senate elections and NAB’s actions in Punjab, including arrests of Ahad Cheema and Shahid Shafiq.
Moreover, the two also pondered upon candidates for party presidentship, which fell vacant after Supreme Court of Pakistan disqualified Nawaz as PML-N president.
Earlier this week, NAB arrested former DG Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Ahad Cheema in Ashiana Housing scandal, while on Saturday another accused in the case, Shahid Shafiq, was apprehended by the accountability bureau.
