National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has formed a committee to investigate claims regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s use of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister’s official helicopter for non-government visits.
The NAB authorities have also sought records of the provincial government’s usage of the state-owned helicopters
NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal had ordered bureau’s provincial director general to conduct an inquiry.
The PTI chief reportedly used the MI-17 helicopter for 22 hours and an aquarial helicopter for 52 hours.
The DG was also directed to determine if the KP Cheif Minister Pervaiz Khattak misused his authority. It is also to be reviewed that in which capacity the CM let Imran use a state-owned helicopter.
It is not the first time KP government is being alleged of misusing its resources. in November last year, the CM was spotted using his official helicopter to attend a wedding ceremony in Mansehra.
