LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan lashed out at disqualified premier Nawaz Sharif on Friday and said that his ideology is corruption.
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, PTI chief read out some documents in the press conference to prove that the former prime minister and his family had been looting the country for decades.
He questioned the source of former finance minister Ishaq Dar’s income and claimed that the former finance minister has 11 companies in Dubai.
“Dar has 11 companies in Dubai and the former premier’s son and his son-in-law are employees of his companies,” he said.
PTI chief alleged that that the Sharif family is a mafia involved in corruption and the money trail for their corruption could be found through Hudaibiya Paper Mills. He also alleged that Dar is Nawaz’s frontman.
Referring to Nawaz’s outburst over his disqualification, he said that that Nawaz created an issue over his disqualification because he is afraid of the disclosure of the wealth he accumulated through corrupt means.
“Nawaz Sharif is afraid of accountability,” he said.
Speaking about the criticism of courts, Imran said that the courts should not feel pressurised by the “Sharif mafia” because the whole nation was with them.
“The courts should either take action against the family or abolish the contempt of court law,” he said.
He also claimed that the Sharif brothers were starting their ‘election campaign’ in Saudi Arabia.
Answering a question about his London flat, Imran said that he had provided the courts with all the documents regarding his properties whether abroad or in Pakistan. He further said that unlike him, the Sharif family had nothing but a Qatari letter to justify their income.
Imran also said that he was supporting Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in his struggle for justice because his cause was a humanitarian cause.
Referring to the Panama Papers case, he said that it was nothing but the tip of an iceberg. He also said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif would not be able to get away in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case.
Imran said that he would hold another press conference on Saturday in which he would reveal more facts about Sharif family’s corruption.
