LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, and son of former Prime Minister (PM) Yousuf Raza Gillani, Syed Ali Musa Gillani on Monday denied the allegations of attacking Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) motorcade.
In a press conference held late last night in Lahore, the PPP leader from Multan said that he, or his supporters, never attacked the PTI motorcade and in fact they had been attacked by the PTI supporters while on the way to Lahore.
Gillani said that he was travelling from Multan to Lahore along with his family when some PTI supporters attacked his car. He added that he had already informed the police about the incident and will launch an official First Information Report (FIR) against the PTI chairman Imran Khan.
Earlier, the PTI leadership had claimed that Ali Musa Gillani’s guards had opened fire on the PTI motorcade while Imran Khan was travelling to Lahore after addressing a public meeting in Okara.
According to PTI spokesperson, the former PM’s son was driving a car under Registration No AFF-148 when his guards started firing on the PTI motorcade.
The PTI leaders had filed an FIR against the younger Gillani, who denied the charges during the press conference late night.
