RAWALPINDI: Frontier Works Organisation denied reports carried by a section of media that Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) had claimed killing 15 FWO personnel working on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Turbat, in a statement issued on Thursday.
The FWO clarified that no such incident had occurred in that area but there had been the brutal murder of 15 Pakistani nationals for which a separate probe was underway by local civil administration.
The FWO said the claim of the BLF followed by the media coverage was baseless, fallacious and an obnoxious attempt to sabotage CPEC. The FWO said it was committed to serve the nation and work in remote / difficult areas across the country wherein requisite security measures for employees and projects are ensured. The FWO said cowardly activities by terrorists or miscreants can’t undermine CPEC, efforts of Pakistani nation, armed forces and FWO.
