Gujranwala: Citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables in 24 robberies reported in the city on Wednesday.
Maskeen and his family were deprived of Rs.40,000, gold ornaments and two cell phones in a robbery at Ahmed Nagar Road; unidentified men took away Rs.53,000, three cell phones and gold ornaments from Tariq in Cantonment area; robbers took away Rs.100,000, two cell phones and gold ornaments from Nasir at Kot Ladha; and Waseem was deprived of Rs.7,000, and a brand new motorcycle in Dhulley area.
In Aroop area, dacoits took away Rs.35,000 and two cell phones from Khuram; in Sadar Wazirabad area, armed men snatched Rs.28,000, cell phone and gold ornaments from Mustaqeem; in City Kamoki area, armed men took away Rs.45,000 from Sarfraz; at Nowshera Road, Faheem was deprived of Rs.62,000, gold rings, and cell phones on gun point; at Gakhar, robbers took away Rs.35,000 and three cell phones from Khawar; in Emanabad, Rs.27,000 and two cell phones and gold chain were taken away from Nadeem Butt; at Aroop, Nawaz was deprived of Rs.15,000, gold chain and two cell phones; in Tatleywali, Azhar was deprived of Rs.22,000, gold ring and cell phone; in Saddar Wazirabad area, bandits snatched Rs.62,000, two cell phones and a gold chain from Ahmed Raza; at Sohdra Javed Cheema was deprived of Rs.84,000, three cell phones and gold ornaments; in Kot Ladha, armed men took away Rs.50,000, two gold chains and two cell phones from Waheed; in Satellite town police, dacoits took away Rs.32,000 and two cell phones from Khuram; in Sabzi Mandi, robbers snatched Rs.57,000, three cell phones and gold ornaments from Iftikhar. In other incidents, cash, gold ornaments, laptops and other valuables were taken away from Moeen, Sajid, Dastgir and Mushtaq and Ashraf and Shahbaz were deprived of their motorcycles.
