KARACHI: Pakistan’s Commercial Counsellors designate to Frankfurt, Paris, Geneva, Doha and Brussels visited Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday. Addressing the Trade officers Acting President of FPCCI Aamer Ata Bajwa said that government has entrusted with greater responsibility to uplift the declining exports, which is not even $ 20 billion. Ishtiaq Baig Vice President FPCCI said that the role of Trade Officers and Commercial sections of Pakistani Embassies and Consulates is very crucial and it is the need of the hour that they play their role more actively in convalescing the deteriorating trade of Pakistan. He urged that not only exports but for the survival foreign investment needed to come to Pakistan and only Trade officers can fill this gap and contribute substantially in bridging the gap and help in maintaining close trade ties with Switzerland, France, UK, Belgium and Germany. Moinudduin Wani Commercial Secretary designate to Paris thanked the office bearers of FPCCI. All designate officers assured FPCCI to work in close coordination and for remaining in touch with FPCCI.
