LAHORE: Two “wanted terrorists” were killed in an intelligence-based operation carried out by the security forces on Wednesday in the Jahan Abad area of Sawat.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both the killed terrorists, Asad alias Anas and Wahab, were being traced for their involvement in the terrorist activities in Malakand Division.
Security forces got actionable information about the terrorists “crossing over from Afghanistan and entering Swat Valley for a possible terrorist activity”.
“Due to the effective security in place, both were traced to a hideout and subsequently killed during an encounter,” said ISPR.
Security forces also arrested their facilitators in Sawat.
