ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has urged Afghanistan to avoid playing ‘blame games’ and instead work together for a mutually beneficial future.
This was stated by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq during a meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in Kabul on Sunday.
The speaker stated Pakistan believed in harnessing good relations on equal footing. He shared his proposal of hosting a joint conference of the speakers of Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Chinawith the Afghan president. The aim being to seek solutions for regional problems regionally.
Ghani called for a working mechanism to resolve all out-standing differences between the two countries.
He stressed on the need for the co-existence of a stable Pakistan side by side with a stable Afghanistan.
The Afghan president thanked the people of Pakistan for their generous hospitality of the Afghan refugees.
The speaker is currently on an official visit to Afghanistan on the invitation of the Afghan president with an aim to lower the tensions between the two states.
