MARDAN On a visit to Mashal Khan’s house to offer his condolences, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said, “Blasphemy was used as an excuse to target Mashal.”
Imran, being a father too, was sympathetic to Mashal’s father’s condition and pain.
Mashal was brutally murdered on April 13 in his university by a mob of students for allegedly committing blasphemy. According to media reports, and a video circulating online, Mashal had criticized the inefficient policies of the university administration.
