ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to provide relaxation in rules and regulations regarding illegal housing societies and projects.
The approval was accorded during a board meeting of CDA, sources said that minor relaxation would be given to the illegal housing societies while there would be no relaxation in the land allocated for mosques, graveyards, parks, educational institutions, dispensary and community centres.
These recommendations were prepared after looking into the bylaws infringements carried out by the illegal housing societies.
The new recommendations said that the housing societies could buy land for graveyards near the location of the society or in consultation with other housing societies.
A fine of Rs 500,000 has been imposed on violators of the bylaws.
