QUETTA: The Accountability Court (AC) has rejected former finance advisor to the Balochistan chief minister, Mir Khalid Lango’s petition seeking exemption from attendance in the court in a mega corruption case.
According to reports, the mega corruption case came up for hearing before the AC on Monday.
Former Balochistan Finance Secretary Mushtaq Raeesani and contractor Sohail Majid appeared in court where they were provided with copies of reference pertaining to the offence.
A medical report in respect of the major accused in the case, Khalid Lango, was presented and the court was requested to grant him exemption from attendance on medical grounds.
The court while rejecting the report ordered that Lango be presented before it immediately.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till March 3.
