ISLAMABAD: A former leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Akbar S Babar has filed a contempt of court case against PTI Chief Imran Khan. Following the filing of the case, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued a notice to Imran, asking him to respond by February 21.
Babar while talking to media said, “There is a third law for Imran Khan and that is the law of jungle.” The former PTI leader was referring to a statement that Imran Khan gave during an interview, where he said that he had not apologized to the ECP over PTI’s fundings, but his party’s counsel had done so in his personal capacity.
Babar said, “The leader who preaches morality is himself not standing by his word.”
Babar put forth the question that if Imran Khan was not at fault, why was he not facing the court.
