ISLAMABAD: As many as four hardcore terrorists affiliated with banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who were convicted by military courts were hanged on Wednesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), all these terrorists were involved in carrying out attacks on educational institutions, innocent citizens, armed forces and law enforcement agencies personnel.
Ahmad Ali, Asghar Khan, Haroon ur Rashid and Gul Rehman were active member of TTP Explosive material and weapons have also been seized from their possession.
Ahmad Ali was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and was involved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies and destruction of an educational institution which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers and civilians. He was in possession of firearms and explosives. The convict admitted to his offences before the magistrate and the trial court and was awarded death sentence.
Asghar Khan was also an active member of TTP. He was involved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies and destruction of educational institutions which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He was also in possession of firearms and explosives. He admitted to his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded death sentence.
Haroon ur Rasheed was an active member of TTP. He was involved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies and destruction of an educational institution which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers and civilians. Gul Rehman was also an active member of TTP and was involved in attack on armed forces. As a result, one army personal and a citizen were martyred.
