SHEIKUPURA: Federal Minister for Defence Production, Science and Technology Rana Tanveer said that Pakistan is heading on the track to progress adding that load shedding will be eliminated once and for all in March 2018.
He said this while talking to media and addressing a huge public gathering on occasion of inauguration of Sui gas project in NA 122 Sheikhupura.
Tanveer said that ongoing fast paced development and prosperity is not being stomached by some elements as Prime Minister Nawaz everyday is inaugurating mega projects.
We are constructing roads while defeated elements are voicing undue protests on the roads.
Today Pakistan is standing in the line of fast developing countries due to government well conceived economic policies and Pakistan will be among the top 10 world’s economies in the next 10 years.
China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game changer for Pakistan and the prosperity of the country and CPEC are not being stomached by anti state elements, he remarked.
Replying to a question the minister said that Pakistan is desirous of better ties with India and other neighbouring countries to pave the way for lasting peace in the region but our efforts for peace should not be construed as our weakness. If India or any other country even thinks of perpetrating aggression against Pakistan, a befitting reply will be given to them, he underlined.
Talking of war on terror he said that Pakistan Army, security forces and people of Pakistan have authored a new history by rendering sacrifices of their lives for the country. Now terrorists are heaving last breathes.
It has been made clear to Afghanistan and Iran that they should not allow their soil to be used against Pakistan, he added.
