LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that four-year tenure of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government reflects transparency, honesty, which has helped government save billion of rupees in several uplift projects.
Talking to a delegation of the PML-N leader here on Monday, he said that those were leveling corruption allegations against the PML-N government should sweep before their own doors. Shahbaz said that previous governments had looted national resources ruthlessly and the nation is still facing its consequences.
He slammed the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) over “negligence” in energy projects.
In a veiled reference to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the chief minister said that a conspiracy was hatched against the progress and prosperity of the country through sit-ins and lockdown. He said that those who were opposing development projects had been exposed, and added that the nation would reject such elements in upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, the chief minister has congratulated cricketer Younis Khan on completing 10,000 runs in test matches. He said that the nation was proud of him over his splendid achievement.
