LAHORE: Police detained at least 48 suspects during search operations in different parts of Lahore on Monday.
Search operations were carried out in different localities of Shafiqabad, Faisal Town and Gulshan Ravi, police said, adding that biometric devices were used for the identification of residents.
During a raid at Faisal town locality, a drug-peddler Atif was taken into custody and one kilogramme hashish was recovered from him by police
Moreover, police has filed a case against him.
According to police officials, 47 suspects were apprehended who failed to produce identity documents during house-to-house search.
Police officials said that arrested suspects were taken to the police station for further investigation.
