KARACHI: The Met Office forecast that dusty winds would occur in Karachi till Tuesday; therefore, the residents should make proper arrangements to bear the health issues created by it.
Health experts said that due to dusty winds, cases of asthma, cough, flu, allergy, eye infection, sore throat and nausea have increased.
Karachi Health Additional Director Dr Nadeem Shiekh said precautionary measures should be taken as children, elderly and those who have low immunity should not step outside unnecessarily. They should wear warm clothes and cover their face, nose and mouth as well.
He also advised children to avoid crowded gatherings as these diseases spread easily between people in crowds.
Dr Nadeem also said that people should avoid oily food and drink plenty of water, soups and not take antibiotics until their health expert recommends it.
