He said that routinely marshaling him out from the assembly would notdeter him from speaking for the deprived people of Kashmir. He said that as soon as the House began its proceedings on Tuesday, he got up from his seat and enquired about the promise of the authorities to release a minor Sahil within a day. Rasheed said that he further asked why instead of releasing the minor, the police had started harassing the school headmaster for issuing the date of birth certificate.

Rasheed also lashed out at the puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, for bulldozing the rights of the people of the Kashmir Valley. He was confronted by Sumbal lawmaker Akbar Lone who was supported by PDP and BJP MLAs. He said that the lawmakers had hurled abuses at him.
Rasheed said that during the proceedings, he had reminded Mehbooba Mufti and former puppet chief minister Omar Abdullah of their promises and had termed them collaborators and agents of New Delhi.
The lawmaker also condemned the authorities for planning to allocate over 700 kanals of land to Kashmiri Pandits and said that the puppet chief minister had become a rubber stamp. He reiterated that all such moves would be resisted tooth and nail.
