A man who works as a welder in Karachi has turned out to be the owner of properties in Dubai, media reports said on Wednesday.
The man has been identified as Imran, was issued a notice by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). “Neither I have a passport nor have I ever fathomed visiting Dubai,” Imran said.
The FIA notice ordered Imran to appear at its Karachi Headquarters on November 20. On October 13, a labourer who had gone to open a bank account was shocked to find more than Rs 70 million in a fake account in his name. The Sialkot resident had gone to a private bank to open an account when it was revealed to him that there was already an account opened in his name in Lahore. There was over Rs 70 million deposited in the said bank account from Karachi, Mingora and Swat.
