ISLAMABAD: Federal government has decided to probe into the cost of all the metro bus projects started under Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) regime.
Addressing a news conference after attending a federal cabinet meeting Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said Punjab govt is paying eight million rupees per day as subsidy for three metro bus projects.
The information minister said that all these metro projects were sub standard and the cost of the Islamabad metro project was 45 billion rupees.
He said that it would be the decision of provincial governments weather to pay the subsidy for the projects or not.
Moreover, he said that the federal cabinet has decided to end the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development (CAD), adding that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will work under the interior ministry.

He also announced that the federal cabinet has approved of the appointment of Arshad Khan as Managing Director of Pakistan Television’s board of governors.
Arshad who has brought with him vast experience of telecom sector will replace Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi.
