ISLAMABAD: Today the nation observes Pakistan Navy Day to pay homage to those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi stated in his message to the nation that Pakistan Navy remembers this day to pay tribute those brave heroes who made sacrifices for their country.
The Navy Chief said that Pakistan currently is facing countless security challenges on both internal and external front, adding that some anti-Pakistan elements are trying to disturb peace in our country on the internal front.
Moreover, he further added that Pakistan Navy is playing an important role along with Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies as part of operation Radd-ul-Fassad to eliminate terrorism.
The naval chief also talked about the war in 1965 and said that it would remain a golden chapter in Pakistan Navy’s history and will continue to inspire its new generation.
