ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released a statement on Monday which read that the electoral body will issue the complete list of all successful candidates in general election 2018 by August 9.
ECP said that the Returning Officers (ROs) have finalised the Form 49, a document that arranges consolidated results (including the results of postal ballots.)
According to ECP, the final results of polls will be announced when all the candidates would submit the details of expenses incurred during their electoral campaign.
ECP has decided to withhold the notification of those successful candidates who would not submit the expense details of their electoral campaign till August 4.
The actual number of all political parties in National and Provincial Assemblies will be declared by ECP by August 7, after which the ECP will issue notifications of successful candidates from reserved seats.
When all the successful candidates would be notified by the ECP, Assembly sessions will be summoned. After taking the oath in the National Assembly (NA), the members of Assembly will choose the Speaker of the house.
