LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Prof Dr Jawad Sajid Khan visited Children Hospital, Lahore on Eid Day and distributed gifts among the children admitted in the hospital.
Gifts and sweets were also distributed among the patients of Lahore General Hospital in which Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof. Agha Shabeer Ali, Medical Superintendent of LGH Dr. Mahmood Salah Uddin and Director Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences Prof. Rizwan Masood Butt participated.
The minister also exchanged Eid greetings with the duty doctors and the staff. On this occasion, the Minister appreciated the doctors, nurses and paramedics who were performing duties with professional zeal despite Eid holidays and lauded their spirit of humanitarian services. Dean Children Hospital Prof. Dr. Masood Sadiq, Medical Director Prof. Muhammad Saleem, Prof. Dr. Teepu Sultan and other administrative doctors and nursing staff were also present.
Principal PGMI said that on the Eid-ul-Fitr festival, it is our collective responsibility to remember those who were suffering from diseases and were under treatment in the hospitals. He praised the efforts of the management of Lahore General Hospital regarding distribution of sweets and gifts among patients.
He took round of different wards and enquired about the health of patients, while he also prayed for their early recovery and wished them best of luck. Prof. Agha Shabeer Ali said that during the Eid holidays doctors, nurses and paramedical staff set an example by remaining on duty.
Prof. Agha Shabeer Ali also met doctors and medical staff and greeted them Eid ul Fitar. He expressed hope that the administration of Lahore General Hospital would continue efforts to work with same zeal and fervor and highlight the name of their institution.
Lahore General Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Mahmood Salah Uddin also thanked and congratulated all of them on Eid-ul-Fitr. Doctors and medical staff thanked the Principal PGMI and assured their all out cooperation in future also.
