LAHORE: In a press release today, Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Ali Wazir announced that the PTM would hold an open public meeting at Lahore’s iconic Mochi gate on the 22nd of April.
In the press release, Ali Wazir states that the purpose of the meeting is to highlight the struggles of the Pashtun population, and the challenges they face in Pakistan’s hinterlands.
Manzoor Pashteen and other PTM leaders will speak at the rally, according to the press release.
The press release also states that the PTM hopes to see Punjabi and Lahori residents join the meeting and stand in solidarity with the movement.
Through the press release, the PTM also denounces war, terrorism and tyranny, and says it is a movement based on peace that aims to bring justice, constitutional and democratic rights, basic human rights, national unity, and prosperity to Pakistan.
