DADU: Former Sindh minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Liaquat Ali Jatoi Tuesday said that the toxic and unhealthy water in the province was playing havoc with the lives of the people while the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led provincial government was busy in looting the national exchequer.
Addressing a workers convention at the house of PTI district president Sardar Ashiq Hussain Zour in Dadu, he said that it was prime duty of the Sindh government to ensure supply of clean and fresh water to the people.
He said that owing to stealing of water by influentials, small growers had not cultivated their land in
Sindh.
He alleged that PPP lawmakers and corrupt officials had collected Rs 2 million from each town in Sindh for expenditure of the gathering of Bilwal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad.
He said that the PPP-led Sindh government was not paying attention to resolve several issues related to education, agriculture, water, health and development. He said that PPP leadership in Sindh was lodging fake cases against him, his family members and supporters in order to force them to join PPP but they were not afraid of such cases.
Jatoi announced that PTI would hold a public gathering in Tando Muhammad Khan on December 15, which would be addressed by PTI chief Imran Khan and other central PTI leadership.
On the occasion, several PPP workers from different areas, including Pipri, Muradabad, Phulji, Khudabad, Yar Muhammad Kalhoro, Muhammad Jalbani, Hafiz Meer Muhammad, Muhammad Yousif Lund, Meer Faqir, Muhammad Hashim Lund, Bahadur Gadehi and Bashir Gadehi villages defected to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
