ISLAMABAD: A calling attention notice was submitted in Senate on Tuesday to highlight the matter of a girl who was paraded naked in a village of Dera Ismail Khan.
Senator Sherry Rehman submitted the calling attention notice to discuss the horrific incident of a 16 year old girl, who was paraded naked for an hour in Dera Ismail Khan.
Meanwhile, Adviser to the Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Tuesday met the victim girl and her family.
On this occasion, he presented a cheque of Rs 200,000 to the affected family. Amir Muqam also assured the family of complete legal assistance on behalf of the federal government.
He also criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and said that none of the accused had been arrested by police as of now.
He maintained that voice against this shameful act would be raised at the forum of National Assembly and added the provincial government should have brought a resolution in the provincial assembly against the incident.
