LAHORE: Pakistan told India on Wednesday that it would allow Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav’s wife an opportunity to visit him in Pakistan.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, Foreign Office said that it had sent a letter to Indian High Commission in Islamabad informing the office about the opportunity granted on humanitarian grounds.
Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested on March 3, 2016 in Balochistan for his anti-Pakistan activities. He later confessed that he was a serving Indian Navy officer. He was given a death sentence by Field General Court Marshal (FGCM) following a trial for his involvement in espionage and sabotage activities on behest of India.
Later the top UN court intervened to stop Pakistan from executing Jadhav. It claimed jurisdiction over the case by citing Pakistan and India’s ascription to Vienna Convention and the violation of one of its clauses if Pakistan were to execute Jadhav.
