LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday greeted the nation on Eidul Fitr. In his message on the eve of Eidul Fitr, he said that with the consent of Allah Almighty we got the opportunity to get advantage and benefit from the blessings of this holy month of Ramazan. “Eidul Fitr is a special gift and reward of Allah Almighty for Muslims and after Ramazan this day brings with it the message of love and mutual unity. Today, we equally share the grief of the bereaved families of Ahmed Pur Sharqia and on this unfortunate incident we really feel sorry. All our sympathies are with the bereaved families and we pray that may God give them strength to bear these irreparable losses. We also pray for the early recovery of those injured in the accident,” he added. “Eid demands sharing of its joys with the poor and oppressed people and it is our religious, moral and national obligation not to forget deprived and underprivileged people in Eid festivities. The eternal sacrifices made by martyrs in the fight against terrorism cannot be forgotten. On the occasion of Eidul Fitr, we stand in complete solidarity with the families of martyrs,” he said.
