LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri termed the Joint Investigation Team that is currently probing the offshore wealth of the Sharif family, as Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) own election cell.
Qadri made the statements while addressing media at the Lahore International Airport after arriving here on Sunday.
The PAT chief said that criticism directed towards the JIT by the PML-N was all ‘staged’.
He claimed that “JIT is preparing PML-N’s plan for the upcoming general elections”.
Qadri said that the no developments have been made regarding the Model Town incident and that the officers who were directly related to the incident had been released.
He reiterated that they would not rest until justice was served.
