LAHORE: Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sumair Ahmed Syed has said that the district administration will leave no stone unturned to ensure provision of best healthcare facilities to patients visiting health facilities of Lahore district.
The deputy commissioner made these remarks while paying a surprise visit to the Government Ghaziabad Hospital here on Saturday. The DC showed his displeasure over unhygienic conditions at the hospital, and warned the hospital administration of strict action.
He also instructed the health authority chief executive officer to look into the hospital affairs, which was established to provide medical assistance to a population of 400,000 to 500,000 people.
Furthermore, Sumair Ahmed Syed also visited the recently established wheat procurement centres at Rakh Chabeel and Barki, and reviewed wheat storage there. He said that all necessary arrangements had been taken, and wheat procurement target for four centres, established in different parts of the city, had been set.
He categorically declared that there would be judicious distribution of gunny bags among farmers.
“The duty roaster of employees, including revenue, food, health, Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) and other allied departments has been issued, which is strictly being implemented by assistant commissioners,” he added.
