KARACHI: Sindh former information minister Sharjeel Memon was detained and released after brief investigation late Saturday night.
The ex-provincial minister for the PPP was taken into custody from the runway right after a flight carrying him landed at the Islamabad airport and was released after the National Accountability Bureau validated bail papers his lawyer had submitted.
Memon is currently facing a multibillion-rupee corruption case in the accountability bureau and was accompanied by, Imdad Pitafi, Fayyaz Butt and Taimor Talpur Mukesh chawla during the arrest.
