DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Wednesday that three members of the army, including a major, had been injured during a ‘routine sanitisation operation’ in the city.
Major Abbas, Captain Omer and Naik Adnan were injured in an exchange of fire with suspected terrorists in the Luni Jungle area, 8 kilometres south of Dera Ismail Khan’s Kulachi, the agency stated.
An alleged member of the militant Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan Naurang group was killed in the exchange, the ISPR said, adding that eight suspects were apprehended in a search operation in the area.
