KARACHI: A mob, in Landhi area of Karachi, burnt a robber to death on Sunday.
Two robbers, armed with weapons, entered a shop and asked the owner to hand over the cash. Upon the owner’s resistance, one of the robbers opened fire. People gathered at the shop after hearing gunshots.
One of the robbers was caught by the mob and they started beating him. The other robber managed to flee the scene. The crowd threw petrol on the robber and immolated him. The robber died on the spot.
Korangi Police senior superintendent said that one dacoit was beaten up and burnt by mob during a robbery attempt at a shop. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
