ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leaders on Thursday alleged that fake documents are being concocted with the involvement of national institutions to protect the Sharif family.
PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry, Arif Alvi, Shibli Faraz and Fayazur Hasan Chohan were speaking to media outside the Supreme Court (SC) during a break in the Panama leaks proceedings in Islamabad.
“Our stance is proving correct that no national institution can probe the allegations in Panama leaks case independently and without any pressure till Nawaz Sharif and PML-N are in government,” said Fawad Chaudhry.
He said that the federal ministers, rather than going to offices, are busy pressurising the SC to save their leader’s skin in the Panama case.
He said that the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), instead of providing evidence and documents of the Sharif family’s financial malpractices, was busy working on fake documents to prove the falsehood as truth. He added that officers in the institutions were also involved in making fake documents to ensure Nawaz was protected.
“Reports are surfacing that another letter of the Qatari prince is coming which will clarify the questions raised in first letter. The letter will mention that investment in Qatar was done through cash and Dubai Steel Mill was established through banks and cooperation of Dubai government,” they said.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMNL-N) leaders, including Khawaja Saad Rafique, are trying to dictate their version to the apex court on the matter of Maryam Nawaz being the PM’s dependant, they added.
National Assembly Member Dr Arif Alvi said that the government was trying to make a fool out of the court and the nation, while propagating their lies everywhere in order to hide the truth disclosed in the Panama Leaks case.
He added that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was getting trapped with every passing day due to the increasing lies being released to public and media by PML (N) leaders. He vowed that Nawaz would soon become a sign of corruption for everyone, as his lies are disclosed through different techniques.
Fayazur Hasan Chohan said that Nawaz had defamed and insulted Pakistan after lying to the court, parliament and the nation and now he and his cronies were regularly lying to hide and protect their corruption. All the techniques and initiatives taken by PM showed that their personal interests were dearer than the interests of the nation, he said, adding that they were sucking the nation’s blood to protect themselves in every possible way.
PTI leader Shibli Faraz said that the SC’s decision would expose Nawaz Sharif in front of everyone, no matter what the government tried to do and Nawaz could not runway now.
