LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has awarded the provincial assembly tickets to the children of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab’s former president Manzoor Wattoo.
PTI Spokesman Fawad Chaudhry has reportedly confirmed that his party had issued tickets to Manzoor Wattoo’s son Jahangir Wattoo and daughter Robina Shaheen.
Jahangir was given a ticket for a provincial assembly constituency PP-185, Okara whereas Robina would contest elections from PP-186 OKara.
However, earlier this month, Manzoor Wattoo submitted nomination papers to contest election as an independent candidate from the National Assembly constituency NA-144, Okara.
Following the PPP’s sink in Punjab, Wattoo had distanced himself from the party.
