LAHORE: The Supreme Court (SC) Bar Association President Kaleem Ahmed Khursheed on Sunday condemned the attack on Justice Ijazul Ahsan’s residence.
Unknown gunmen opened fire at Justice Ijaz’s residence in Model Town in two separate incidents – one of which took place around 10:45pm on Saturday and the other at 9:10am on Sunday. No casualties were reported.
Speaking in the wake of the incident, the SCBAP president said that such attacks can not weaken the judiciary’s resolve. He added that the lawyers’ fraternity from around the country stands behind the judiciary.
Kaleem Ahmed urged the SC stakeholders to hold an immediate meeting and announce future course of action pertaining the matter.
