SWAT: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lifetime head Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s time is over and that the people of KP will elect the Nawaz-league to power.
‘The people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will announce their verdict in favour of the PML-N in upcoming elections. Ilzam Khan’s time is up and he would not be able to triumph in even a district,” Nawaz Sharif said while addressing a PML-N power-show in Swat.
Continuing his tirade against the PTI chief, Nawaz said that Imran has done nothing for the development of the province and that he has ‘looted’ public resources in the name of planting two billion trees. “Imran even made his ATM machine (Jahangir Tareen) sell his properties,” he added.
Nawaz said that Imran has done politics of blaming and ridiculing during the past five years and that the PTI chief should visit Punjab and see how the province has developed during PML-N’s tenure.
Praising the performance of the PML-N government, Nawaz said that the ruling government has eliminated terrorism and energy crisis from the country. He added that Karachi’s situation has also improved.
He, however, complained that the PTI chief, instead of joining hands with PML-N for the country’s war against terrorism, has ’caused havoc’ in KP.
He concluded that the children of Swat, Malakand and Pakistan are dear to him and that he will work for a prosperous future for the citizens of the country. “It is only possible if the public supports the respect for vote motto,” he added.
