HYDERABAD: Veteran politician and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Muhammad Jam known as Jam Saqi passed away on Monday at the age of 73.
According to the deceased’s family, Jam Saqi breathed his last after prolonged illness at his resident at Qasimabad.
Arrangements for his funeral are underway, which would take place later in the evening at Nasim Nagar graveyard in Qasimabad.
Muhammad Jam joined Pakistan People’s Party in 1994 and remained the member of PPP Sindh Council until his demise.
PPP co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took to Twitter to pay homage to Jam Saqi and described the deceased as a ‘champion of ideological politics and fighter for democracy’.
