KOHAT: The Interpol has on Monday placed prime suspect in Asma Rani murder case, Mujahidullah Afridi, on most wanted list.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police had reached out to the Interpol after Mujahidullah, accused of murdering a medical student from Kohat, fled the country.
Asma Rani, a medical student from Kohat, was shot dead on January 27 by the accused for allegedly refusing a marriage proposal.
Mujahidullah Afridi, nephew of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) district president Aftab Alam, fled the country after allegedly committing the murder.
Earlier this month, the KP police arrested three aides of the suspect including the one who helped Mujahidullah flee the country.
The accused’s brother Shahidullah Afridi, who accompanied him during the murder, was nabbed by the police last month.
