LAHORE: At least 440 motorcycles and 17 vehicles with illegal number plates and lack of registration were impounded by the Mujahid Squad, Dolphin Force and Police Response Unit (PRU) on Sunday.
According to a spokesperson for the Mujahid Squad, at least 440 motorcycles and 17 suspected vehicles were checked in different divisions of the city. He said that SP Mujahid Squad Syed Karar Hussain had ordered officers concerned of the circles to continue crackdown on applied-for motorcycles and vehicles with illegal number plates.
SP Mujahid Squad Syed Karar Hussain has appealed to the citizens to keep their vehicle’s documents with them while travelling. He said citizens should cooperate with security personnel, as all the security measures were being taken in the best interest of the citizens to avoid any untoward incident.
