ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police chalked out an elaborate security plan during Eid Miladul Nab processions to be held on Monday.
Strict patrolling will be ensured during the procession and other religious gatherings in the capital city. According to the plan, personnel of police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies will perform the patrolling and security duties on the occasion.
Heavy deployment has been approved on Police Senior Superintendent (SSP) Sajid Kiani’s directives while the other police officials will visit the procession routes and ensure effective coordination among the security personnel performing duties.
A total of 2,000 policemen including 300 traffic police personnel will perform the security duties on the occasion with assistance from the Rangers. The procession’s route has been divided into four sectors with four SPs, seven police deputy superintendents (DSP) and 22 inspectors will lead the security duties in each sector.
Close liaison will be maintained with organisers of the procession and other gatherings in the city. Walk through gates will be installed at all the entry points of procession and metal detectors will be used for checking of participants.
