KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday took serious notice of the offensive remarks made by a Sindh minister against a female lawmaker in the provincial assembly.
In a statement issued by the PPP media cell, taking notice of Imdad Patafi’s remarks against PML-N lawmaker Nusrat Sehar Ababsi, Bilawal Bhutto has asked Sindh PPP Parliamentary President Leader in House to issue a show-cause notice to the minister before an action.
Patafi’s foul language drew sharp disapprovals and immense calls for an apology from lawmakers and social media.
Speaking to a private television channel, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi said that Patafi should be thrown out of the party.
Meanwhile, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari also condemned the derogatory remarks of Imdad Patafi.
“Yes, he must apologise. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour and totally against our party’s attitude that has been led by the strongest of women,” she tweeted in response to similar demand made by PPP MNA Nafisa Shah.
